Some refer to it as shopoholic but I like to call it shop savvy. I’ve picked up some things through some shopping adventures and now I’m sharing them with you, someone who is looking for a complete guide to online shopping for Canadians. A daily dose of shopping smarts goes a long way in improving our health… and our closet.

The Shopping Supplement has a simple but extremely important goal:

• Style:  No online shopping destination is worth mentioning if it doesn’t offer stylish clothing. Style is measured by quality of design, likeability, wearability and is it buzzworthy  (I admit I am not a style expert so the goal is to look at overall style grade not specific pieces).

• Steals: Equally heavily waited as Style, this category grades an online shopping destination based on whether or not you can get designer clothes at ridiculously affordable prices. I prefer the kind of sticker shock that leaves you wanting more…and the funds to afford more. And don’t forget about availability, if I want it I better be able to get it.

• Simple: Availability, easily navigable site and a quick and simple checkout. I believe strongly that online shopping should be a stress reliever not a stress causer.

• Service: If I need some help with my online shopping please have someone available and don’t delivery my new shoes three weeks late without giving me a reason or warning! Finally, maybe the most important part of this entire calculator is that we stylish Canadians better be able to order it…and without paying a ridiculous shipping charge!
